Mounting system: The unique Marsee expandable sissy bar (backrest) system allows the bag to fit a range of sissy bars from about 7 inches to 16 inches in width. A padded sissy bar pad rests over the mounting system to offer comfort to rider and/or passenger. Hidden under the side pockets of the main compartment are "drop down" adjustable quick release buckle straps with J hooks so the bag can be securely mounted by using the J hooks or by wrapping the straps around a frame member or mounting bar. The top roll also has mounting straps attached under the side pockets to allow it to be mounted solo if desired. Molded handles on both the top roll and main compartment are sewn and riveted, then reinforced on the under side for good strength. Top Roll Features: The top roll end pockets have zippers extending over the sides for easy access to contents inside. Entry to the top roll bar is by way of waterproof zippers with the bottom sealed with 'hook and loop'. The interior is silver waterproof fabric to add to the waterproofness of the bag and to make dark objects in the bag more visible. A non-slip, non-abrasive material is sewn onto the bottom of both bags D-rings are located at the top ends to connect the enclosed standard adjustable shoulder strap with dual pivot snap hooks. Main Compartment Features: The entry has a drop down lid with side gussets that open to a 45-degree angle, but side zippers on the gussets permit the lid to open completely for maximum access to inside contents. The side gussets prevent contents from falling out when the lid is opened at 45 degrees. Above the entry lid is a storm flap sealed by 'hook and loop' to help repel water entry from the top of the bag. On the inside of the lid is a large zippered mesh pocket for storing otherwise loose contents. The interior fabric is waterproof silver fabric, which makes dark objects stored in the bag easier to see. D-rings on the sides allow the connection of the enclosed standard shoulder strap. External Features: The main compartment bag has three pockets with reflective fabric and reflective piping to aid visibility in low light conditions. The zippers extend considerably over the edges of the pockets for easy entry and exit of stowed items. Four adjustable quick release buckles connect the two bags firmly together. A total of six D-rings are located on the sides of the bags to allow other items to be attached to the bags if desired. Both bags are made with 1680 denier waterproof fabric. A rain cover comes standard with the Cruiser Bar Bag. Backpack Function: Shoulder straps are secured on the backside of the main compartment bag by way of elastic sleeves. The shoulder straps are placed into service by pulling them from the elastic sleeves and snapping the bottoms of the straps to the D-rings on the side of the bag.
