Racer Parts Wholesale offers quality racing parts, safety equipment and motorcycle accessories at the guaranteed lowest prices from our centrally-located warehouse in Indianapolis. We stock most of our product lines on site. If an order is placed by 2 p.m. Eastern time, we do our best to send it out that day. Our staff consists of knowledgeable racers and riders who are committed to getting your order filled correctly, and appreciate your business.
We supply parts and safety equipment for a wide variety of racing and performance markets. Although racers are our primary customers, we also serve the automotive street performance, marine and aviation markets. Our motorcycle accessories products focus on the motorcycle touring, sport touring and adventure riding markets.
We know your challenges because we're racers too. Tom Volk, who owns Racer Parts Wholesale, started in racing by building and driving a SCCA Spec Racer. He progressed through various SCCA classes, ran in Trans Am and then became an owner/driver for his own Prototype sports car team, TRV Motorsport.
We competed in the United States Road Racing Championship (USRRC), Professional Sports Car Racing (PSCR), Grand-Am and the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). TRV Motorsport raced with a budget that was far less than most of its competitors' budgets, so we know first-hand how important competitive prices are. Starting with a Kudzu Chevy DL-4 and ending with a Riley & Scott Chevy Mk III, TRV Motorsport competed in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona six times and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring several times. With our background as racers, we understand how important it is to use quality products that will last through the rigors of competition.
We also love motorcycles. Several of our employees ride 10,000 to 15,000 miles a year and attend rallies across the country. We’re also members of the Iron Butt Association, a motorcycle group that requires a certified trip covering 1,000 miles in 24 hours for its minimum membership.
We've been in the racing parts business for many years. Tom Volk purchased Racer Parts Wholesale in 1999. Realizing that saving time and money on shipping costs would benefit his customers, he moved the company from Georgia to our current warehouse in Indianapolis, the "Crossroads of America."
He bought a sister company that specializes in safety products, Racer Wholesale, in June 2011, and moved it and its popular GFORCE product lines to Indianapolis too. Racer Wholesale is a well-known name in the racing safety business, serving tens of thousands of racers over the last 25 years.
Today both Racer Parts Wholesale and Racer Wholesale are Volk family-run businesses operating under the Racer Parts Wholesale name in Indianapolis, supported by corporate offices in Toledo, Ohio.
The company's motorcycle accessories division began with limited offerings in the Racer Parts Wholesale catalog, but it has seen dramatic growth in recent years. Part of that growth was spurred by the purchase of the Helen Twowheels Super Packing System company in the fall of 2007, followed a year later with the purchase of the Marsee Products company.
RPW is now recognized as a leader in both the racing industry and the motorcycle accessories market. We pride ourselves on quality products, off-the-shelf, same-day shipments, and overall excellence in customer service provided by our knowledgeable staff.
RPW welcomes visitors to our Indianapolis showroom Monday through Friday from 8-5 EST.
Key Indianapolis StaffTom Volk, Owner
Tom Volk owns several companies, and they all have something to do with mechanics, engineering and high performance. He's fascinated with making all things work better, including his businesses. He guides RPW with integrity, sound business practices and the commitment to supply quality products at competitive prices along with excellent customer service.
Tom raced motorcycles in motocross events while he was in high school and college. He began racing SCCA Spec Racers in 1989. He ran regional and national SCCA in S2000, GT3 and GT1. He ran a limited schedule in Trans Am for several years before moving into Prototype racing. That progressed to the purchase of a Kudzu in 1997 followed by a Riley and Scott in 1998.
Tom drove in many prestigious events, including six Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona and several Sebring Twelve-Hour races with his team, TRV Motorsport. It was one of 11 teams that ended the Sports Racing Prototype era in November 2002 at Daytona.Jack Borsos, General Manager
Jack has been with the company since the days of selling undercar exhaust in the Indianapolis area. He now serves as RPW’s general manager, and as such he is involved in all facets of our operations. Jack's business relationships with our manufacturers and dealers help us provide low prices and the latest products.
Jack was a tire changer on TRV Motorsport's pit crew, as well as the pit crew leader that kept the rest of the crew corralled and ready to go at a moment’s notice. Jack’s track experience also extended to retail sales with RPW’s retail trailer at SCCA and Grand-Am events.
As a daily commuter and long-distance motorcycle rider, Jack has a thorough knowledge and extensive experience with all of the motorcycle products RPW sells. If you are on the phone with Jack and hear a dog rustling around in the background, make sure to ask about his rescued Greyhound Grace, who sleeps most of the day away in her bed next to Jack’s desk. Not only do we like fast cars and motorcycles, but we like fast dogs!Amy Volk Hall, Marketing Manager
Amy is a master of multi-tasking! In addition to spearheading all of our advertising and promotions, Amy also produces and manages our extensive website and performs all IT functions. Her goal is to make ordering parts and supplies from RPW easy! Along with Tom and Jack, Amy has retailed with RPW’s trailers at track events and motorcycle events across the country.
Sports car racers may remember that Amy was the pit strategist for TRV Motorsport, calling the shots from the team's war wagon in the pits. While Amy can expertly assist customers with both racing and motorcycling product selection, she can’t seem to figure out how to pack her two kids onto a motorcycle. She is more often seen traveling to both racing and motorcycle events in her RV with family in tow.Tim Sopko, Warehouse Manager
Tim has something in common with Frank Sinatra — Chicago is his kind of town. In 2000 Tim relocated from our Chicago facility to join us at Racer Parts Wholesale, where we often call upon his extensive knowledge of the exhaust industry. Our customers appreciate Tim’s friendly demeanor and is quite often in our showroom helping customers find the perfect products. As a master conversationalist, Tim will gladly chat with you about topics ranging from RPW’s products to his children and grandchildren to his saltwater fish tank!
Although some people are sure that Tim was once a stunt driver for the Joie Chitwood Thrill Show, there really is no truth to that rumor. Our Key Indianapolis Staff are supported by RPW's shipping and receiving staff, as well as several part-time RPW team members who help at various events throughout the year. The Corporate Staff in Toledo, OH handles our accounting and human resources.
